An April shower roles in
With gentle gusts of wind
raindrops blow
through limbs of trees bursting with blooms.

Pink crabapple petals
Billow en-masse, rise up in a cloud
Softly float to the ground.
Dampness from the shower
Causes the petals to adhere
To every surface: pink gemstones.,
Concrete, car windows, lawns; become…
