I hear…
No sound but nature
As I sit in my yard,
Yellow ragwort bursting into bloom,
The creek singing, soothing,
As it tumbles over rocks and tree roots.

The birds…
Sing in the trees,
Flitting, chirping, calling
Towhees, chickadees, cardinals.
